At Honor Flight Columbus, our mission has always been to Honor, Share, and Celebrate the service and sacrifice of America’s Veterans. While many Veterans are able to experience an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., we recognize that travel is not possible for everyone. Hometown Honor was created to ensure that those Veterans still have a special opportunity to be recognized, celebrated, and surrounded by the gratitude of their community.

Hometown Honor is a meaningful, in-person ceremony designed specifically around the Veteran. The program gives Honor Flight Columbus the opportunity to recognize their commitment to our country, share the stories and experiences that have shaped their lives, and celebrate not only their military service, but also the contributions they have made to their families and communities throughout the years.

Our goal is for every Hometown Honor Veteran to understand that this is their day. Through a thoughtful ceremony and the involvement of family, friends, volunteers, and members of the community, we create an experience centered on appreciation, recognition, and connection. It is another way Honor Flight Columbus can carry out our mission and ensure that the service of our Veterans continues to be remembered and shared with future generations.

Our next Hometown Honor is scheduled for Saturday November 14th 2026 at National Veterans Memorial & Museum on 300 W Broad St, Columbus OH 43215. The program will run from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
